There’s this line from a Jason Zerbin song that I love: “Oh my heart, awake at night to doors in open skies.” I love it. It makes me think of lying in bed, awakened to all the things that God longs to draw you into.
I’ve been thinking about doors a lot today. I sense a lot of things moving below the surface in my life. There’s a lot of things in front of me right now that could or couldn’t be doors beginning to open.
I’ve been praying that God would open the right doors ahead of me and close the wrong ones. I’m excited and nervous to see what lays behind those doors. But I’m learning quickly that life is best when you’re walking down the right paths.
I’ve also been thinking about that word “awakening”. I love it. I believe that God longs to awaken us to more of who He is, who we are, what He is calling us to do. I believe that this generation needs a wake-up call. I believe that our church needs to stop sleeping on the job and wake up in urgency.
Thanks for sharing in this journey with me 🙂 I love you all!
On a completely different note, please keep praying for me…I am still really sick (hence having all the time for these blog posts). Anyways, I’m now on antibiotics and I had full blood work done today. Really just hoping that I get better quickly and stay better this time!!
